Tips to Solve iPhone Can’t Make or Receive Calls after iOS 12 Update

This would be annoying when you cannot use phone call function on your iPhone. What can you do to solve this problem? In this post, we will share you some methods to do it.

1.Check if iPhone is Mute. If your iPhone mute button is on which makes you cannot receive incoming calls as you cannot ring to notify you.

2.Check Network Coverage. If your iPhone is out of the network coverage, you cannot make or receive calls. You could go to the status bar on the top of the iPhone to check if your iPhone is in a low signal status.

3.Disable Airplane Mode or Do Not Disturb. Airplane mode or Do Not Disturb would prevent from making or receiving calls. So, please make sure that you turn off Do Not Disturb. Then you could also have a try to turn on Airplane Mode and turn it off again to check if the problem can be solved.

4.Restart iPhone. Restart iPhone would temporarily clean all caches, cookies, background process and return your iPhone to an ideal status.

5.Reinsert SIM Card. In some situation that you cannot make or receive calls is due to the SIM card is not inserted well. To solve this problem, what you need to do is check if your SIM card is placed in the right place and you could take it out to clear it and then reinsert it in your iPhone.

6.Reset Network. Reset network on your iPhone would erase the wifi setting, password. To do that, you only need to tap on Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.

7.Unlock Phone Number. Sometimes, if the number you try to call or receive is in your block list which makes you cannot do it. Go to Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification to check the block phone number.
