FaceTime Not Working in iOS 11/12

Restart iPhone

Firstly, you can restart your iPhone to have a try.

For iPhone X/8/8plus:

For iPhone 7 or earlier:

Step 1. Press power button and hold on until it shows up message “Slide to power off”, then slide it to close your iPhone.

Step 2. Wait a few minutes, then press power button and home button together until Apple logo show up on your screen, and your iPhone will be restarted.

Turn off /on FaceTime

If it still doesn’t work, you can turn off FaceTime, then turn it on to have a try.

Step 1. Open your iPhone, go to Setting–FaceTime.

Step 2. Now you can turn off its button, when it’s off, the button will be gray. Wait for a few minutes, then turn it on, and try again.

Unblock FaceTime

Also we’ll need to check if FaceTime on our iPhone is blocked or not, if yes, we’ll need to unblock it.

Step 1. Open your iPhone, go to Setting–General–Restrictions, then choose “Disable Restriction”.

Step 2. Then Scroll down to find FaceTime option, and turn it on when it’s off.

Correct iPhone Date and Time

FaceTime activation will also be affected by the date and time on your iPhone, so you can also check the date and time settings on your iPhone and correct it when it’s wrong.

Step 1. Open your iPhone, go to Setting–General–Data & Time.

Step 2. Now you can set correct date and time by selecting them.

Reset Network Setting

When there is something wrong with your network settings, you can reset it to have a try.

Step 1. Open your iPhone, go to Setting–General–Reset Network Settings.

Step 2. When finish it, input the password of your Wifi again, and reconnect it.
